I've been wanting the book 1000º Deyrolle for quite some time. Hoping it would eventually go down in price it actually went up. Ugh. Basically, it's a book of photographs of the items that were once part of Deyrolle's "Cabinet of Curiosities" after a fire that destroyed most of the iconic taxidermy building. It's a pretty amazing collection of photographs portraying seared butterflies and destroyed zebras. I found this great little interview with the the photographer, and I thought I would share.
