First off, I want to thank those who have commented on my last post, and I do appreciate it. It's been a tough month, but things can only go up. One of the reasons February was terrible, is we learned that out dear little store in Geneva would be closing. It came about very, very quickly that it was kind of hard to process. I had just started working there really, but I feel so much closer to the people who worked there than from Orchard. It's really sad. And really, I will miss Harry and David and hope the company will land on it's feet soon (I'm not sure how much I can share, but Google "Harry and David" and the news results will pretty much tell you everything). So the past two days have been dedicated to closing yet another store (I'm getting really good at this game). Today was fun because we didn't have to deal with customers, I was treated to Corner Bakery for breakfast and Lou Malnatti's for dinner, Debbie's wonderful singing, and having a pretend race when we drove back from our Deer Park store (which Tim [and myself as co-pilot] totally won). I can't imagine having anyone but Kristin as a boss, but I must move on... to taking tourist's pictures at the Hancock and Navy Pier.
It's been hard, but as I mentioned in my last post, I have met some really wonderful people, including these two: Tim is a movie extra, and will be in not one, but TWO episodes of the Chicago Code and was in The Dilemma...no big deal; and Kristin, who of course is my best friend and I will miss her tucking me in at night when I stay at her house. Seriously, I love her. (Sorry for the picture quality, I just had my phone, boo!).
