i see no end in sight

Why, hello, Lake Michigan. It's been awhile.

The weather has been much more bearable, so I am able to start taking walks again by the lake. It reminds me of when I first moved here (which my first year here is coming up quickly!). While I enjoy the water, it just doesn't have the allure of the ocean. I miss the salty spray and it's disheartening sometimes to know that on the other side is Michigan, and not some distant foreign country. Oh well, maybe someday I'll be able to sit by the ocean on a daily basis and continue to dream of what's on the other side.
