On Saturday night I learned how to play You Are My Sunshine, and I was so excited about it. I woke up Sunday morning and grabbed my banjo, and took a strum or two and BOINNGGGGCHHH. My first string broke. I didn't know what to do, so I sat there and cried for about five minutes. Then I took her up to the Lincoln Square location of my school (which, PS, was the first time I had been there, and oh my God, it's gigantic. It's full of old hippies playing guitars and even has a cafe.) and decided to have all the strings replaced, due to the fact that I don't think they've been changed since about 1981. But I got her back tonight, and all is right in the world.
