I really couldn't stand being in Gambier, so I drove down to Cincinnati to visit two of my all-time favorite people, Joe and Michael Besl. We discussed over appropriately priced beers our New Year's plans (Michael is moving to Spain in a few weeks and Joe is possibly going to Georgia [the republic, not the state]). New Years Macedonia?
Then Joe and I did a little urban exploring of the city (Cinci is a lot cooler than I remember it being) and he took me to Spring Grove Cemetery. A true friend.
Han! I don't know what day you leave but I'm wishing you safe travels! You're pretty much amazing for doing this, which I'm sure you already knew. Also, did I ever tell you that I still say "toaster dick"?
ReplyDeleteAnd, my friend Emma has been living in Georgia (Tblisi) this year, in case Joe needs/wants a contact.
Rach! I'm not leaving until next Friday (Sept. 7), and I appreciate your well wishes. I'm not devastatingly anxious, but anything to shake away those last nerves is much appreciated. And I totally forgot about "Toaster Dick", I wish for you to continue to use it. And I'll let Joe know about your friend, he actually might need someone to talk to (he's a bit nervous too, although he hasn't gotten the job yet).
