welcome aboard brown line run 404

I woke up this morning after a bad night's sleep and also pretty hungover, but I still wanted to go on an adventure. So I ended up taking the Brown line up to Kimball (end of the line) and rode it all the way down to the Loop and back. It was a pleasant little jaunt, and really, a pretty good representation of Chicago. I saw plenty of quirky little shops (one only selling broken boat parts) and heavily decorated back decks, graffiti in many different forms, and amazing architecture when I finally reached downtown. Luckily I did this in the morning, because later in the afternoon a car ran into the train at the Kedzie stop (where the train runs on ground level) and shut down all the stops between Southport and Kimball. Still, I'd like to do it again before I leave.
